Baptized in 1983.
After becoming a Christian, Denny felt convicted to become a missionary and spread the gospel to other parts of the world. He decided to study at Northwest College of the Bible, where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sacred Literature.
During a trip to El Salvador, he discovered a small church in Guatemala that needed help. He decided to move to Guatemala City with his wife and children, and work with the church there. He learned to speak Spanish and worked to grow the church and establish leadership.
He spent 9 years working in Guatemala. Then he returned to the United States and became the evangelist at Mid Valley Church in 2009.
A year after Mid Valley and First Christian merged, Denny was ordained as one of the Elders for Valley Christian Fellowship in 2020.
John was born again in 1979.
He married Cindae 5 years later, and together they have three children and three grandchildren.
He has been running his own business in finish carpentry for 23 years.
Back in the 90’s John accepted the role of a Deacon, where he dedicated his time to serving the church and participated in church leadership training.
In 2001, John began serving as an elder, first at Mid Valley Church and now at Valley Christian Fellowship.
John uses his many talents to shepherd our members and work in the community building relationships. He is bilingual with a heart for the Spanish community and has led Spanish studies for many years. He is also a talented musician who leads our worship ministry.
